There are still non-English versions of XCOM in existence that I have never seen. In XcomUtil 9.4, I added support for a Spanish version of XCOM 1.0. In 1998, I added support for an Italian version of TFTD. If you know of any non-English XCOM or TFTD versions that are not listed in XcomUtil.txt, please let me know. I will add support for any others that are found. For strictly personal reasons, I would like to get a copy of the language specific parts of any Italian versions of the game, the two files with the language specific strings. I only saw the Geoscape of the one I patched back in 1998. However, I am now taking Italian classes because my son will be married in Italy next year and I want to be able to talk to her family. Having an Italian XCOM or TFTD would be a painless way to learn a little more Italian. ------------------------------- Scott T Jones Author of XCOMUTIL (current version 9.41) Author of APOCUTIL (current version 1.00) ------------------------------- http://XcomUtil.ScottTJones.com

Shurely tho, phrases like "screams its victims to death," "vestigial sexual organs" and "titanium exoskeleton" are of limited utility even at an Italian wedding? --Off the Rails "Attento con quel vibroblade Steve... Scott, there was an x-com fan who made two patches that change the French language packs in both UFO and TFTD to Italian. I don't know how good they are, as I cannot read Italian, but they were made by a native Italian and I have not as yet received any complaints about them. If you are interested, they are here: http://www.xcomufo.com/x1italy.exe http://www.xcomufo.com/x2italy.exe -Micah micahdg@xcomufo.com www.xcomufo.com "Scott T Jones" <stjones@aol.com> wrote in message news:20030915121432.08239.00001231@mb-m14.aol.com... > There are still non-English versions of XCOM in existence that I have never > seen.
