 Welcome Neo!
If you've got a few days to spare, a trawl through google's archives of agx
will likely come up with some gems of x-com 'culture'. :)
Not that much activity in here at the moment, but with the impending
release of UFO: Aftermath we may get some activity. Anyone been following
the game?

Hi Neo. Apart from here in AGX there is also www.xcomufo.com which is a
top site with loads of stuff in it.

Mel a lot of people I've spoken to have said they don't like the idea of
aftermath as it isn't turn based but I'm looking forward to it. What
with LSN and aftermath I might get a xcom fix... Well until we get
xenocide finished anyway :)

I prefer its Apocalypse style simultaneous-pause gameplay better than
real turn based. But it looks like a really shit game.

I don't mind the realtime/pause orders thingie either. But from what I've
read they are really skimping on the managment part of the game, wich I
strangely liked. Getting the kit out to your troops before the next callout
was a buzz for me. And the kneeling standing up thing (it doesn't alter your
hittable profile) really has me worried. But I'm willing to check it out,
but a glowing review or two (haven't heard anything about a demo yet) will
need to convince me to buy it

Yeah, I'm a big fan of pausable real-time games. I like watching things
unfold in "real time", but want plenty of thinking time when circumstances
change. :)

Hmm, well it's not essential for a good game... I'll have to wait and see
what the final game's like.
I'll likely only buy it at budget prices anyway! :)

for LSN to be realilife, all the soldiers woudl have to be running aorund
with their eyes closed. only opening them for a peek every 10seconds :)

but don't knock it till you try it haha. *nurses head*

Sort of. I get the email news releases, and am waiting patiently for
the game's release date.

They are immune to pain too ! How can anybody stand to be eaten alive
without turning round ?
