TFTD crashes when equipping soldiers

Hi TFTD (Collectors Ed.) returns to windows (Win2k) as soon as the equipment screen should come up?! Means, shot down ufo, klicked ok...back to windows Tried xcomutil but didnt help. XCom1 (Collectors Ed.) runs just fine, no problems at all!! Any suggestions? Thanks a lot Malte

There is a fix for that sort of failure that was caused by my patching of the executable. It can be downloaded using the tiny "beta" link near the end my XcomUtil page.
