One thing that really irritates me is the way agents are handled. Let's face it: everyone who enlists into X-Com is doomed to die. They get paid like 40k a month, but ultimately just about all of them get killed. What about morale? Don't any of them ever quit while they're ahead because they don't want to die? If they're in it for the ideology, protecting mankind, why pay them at all? It don't make sense... noone ever quits... noone ever leaves... noone gets decomissioned when they get severly injured... you could maybe use severly injured or even handicapped agents and assign them to intelligence? The fact is, that unless you complete the game with no casualties, something someone who does not cheat and plays at his or her apropriate difficulty level will never be able to do. I'd like to see the number of troops killed have an impact on morale both in- and- out of combat. -- Principles are not like taxi cabs. You can't just use them to get where you want to go and then dismiss them. Reply by mail to jb...@jancomulti.com
