Does anyone have any solid ideas about what they would like to see in a remake of X-Com: UFO Defence? Would a Windows based game make sense? Drop-down menus for all the base info would be nice, & this could incorporate a Squad editor with user customised squad settings saved. So you could have a pre-saved craft+squad+equip config to deal with a Terror Mission (which would, of course, be very different to the one used for a downed small UFO on a scouting mission). There seem to be three main views: Geoscape, Battle & Base/Info. All of these could benefit from a Windows-type display. Any ideas on resolution: the old DOS stuff is 640x480. I guess a Windows release could have Small, Medium & Large screen resolution options (like Stars!). -- IY.
