i'm currently [trying] to play the xcom collectors edition - enemy unknown &
terror from the deep - with xcomutil
i used to hammer the dos versions in the unknown terror release and thought
i'd play with all the interesting tweaks the util provides
i can play fine until there's a tactical mission, when i'm dumped out to
desktop without an error message - when i should get the arming screen
the vanilla install plays fine in both geoscape and tactical, so the problem
is definitely xcomutil
i selected all the interesting/challenging options except randomising
ships/terrain and prompting for battleground choice
athlon 1100, 512pc133, k7t master, gf2 32gts, sb live; w2ksp4
i tried disabling dd accel with same results
any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm hooked all over again
tia
