I for one am very glad to hear this as I spent many fun filled days playing
the original which
was the best in the series. I would still be playing it today with my
friends if it had the
hot seat options that Laser Squad did. If you are remaking this game
please include the ability
to play two players squaddie v. alien or squaddies v. squaddies by hotseat
or even e-mailing turns
back and forth ala Stars!.

Announcment:
My gaming company, StarBLADE Studios, is currently talking to
Microprose
about the possibility of re-making the first X-COM. It will be a
Win95
program, with better graphics, better sound and music, more aliens,
UFO's,
craft, weapons, etc
We will post all development news to this group. Anyone intrested
in
beta-testing the new game, post to this group.
