I spoke to Microprose UK on Wednesday, since they are a local phone call away and within spitting distance of where I live.  They say both UFO & TFTD are on their powerplay label and you should be able to order it from 'good' gaming stores.  That is, of course, if you know of any 'good' gaming stores :-)

Try Special Reserve, or Gameplay through mail order.  Other than that, it's down to the nearest game store with any clout!  Games exchange, if you know of a local store, may stock it, but don't hold your breath.
