  Dear Mike,
Thanks for your comments to the group, you have posted to the right
place! As you have probably noticed, there are many tips concerning X-COM
UFO (Enemy Unknown), if you stay posted, once I have finished all my tips
for UFO, I will also be creating (and I am at the moment) a massive X-COM
Apocalypse tips EXTRAVAGANZA!!! But, this will be within a few months, but
for now, I will treat you in the strategy of BAGGING UFOs.

In the early stages, hoverbikes do make the best attack vehicles, buy up all
the hoverbikes and Rendor plasma gun you can, and fit your vehicles out with
SD Sports engines. Upgrade the missile systems in your Valkyrie and
hovercars (which I never use) to Prophets and Janitors and upgrade the
engines to the best you can afford.
When a UFO appears, switch to overhead mode. Pause the game, hold down
the CTRL key and click on all the vehicles to make a large attack group.
Swat the UFOs with your bike swarms and they will fall out of the skies like
litle extraterrestrial flies!
Prevent your vehicles from accidentally shooting one another by
assigning different altitudes to them. This, along with keeping your
vehicles on catious attack, will reduce the number of friendly-fire
incidents.

On the idea of workshop, it depends on how many men you have.
Personally I have 2 bases, with 3 large workshops each, one base will pump
out equipment I need and the other base equipment I can sell and make profit
from. And, you don`t really need to make things to sell. What you can`t
afford, STEAL!!! If you raid the Cult of Sirius then they have small things
in their heads called Psi-clones and sell their weapons. At $4,500 a go
(psi-clones), these can bring in some serious roger! But don`t flood the
market with them in one go, as the more you supply, the less they pay for
them the next week, so try and sell them about two at a time, at spaced out
intervals! When on raids, try and go for the warehouses (arms, preferably)
as these will contain a lot more tucker, mate.

There you go, hope this is of some use to you. Stay posted, as I said,
in a few months, I will start posting my regular X-COM Apoc tips.
