On Friday, Miles....@usu.edu reported the problem that MAPPACK1 refused to
install with XCOMUTIL 8.0. My newsreader on AOL, never showed that append,
but I just checked with another newsreader and found it.

Basically, the batch file handler in Windows is in error. The file uses
ERRORLVL to detect the level of XCOMUTIL during its installation, but the test
does not work. Instead of testing for 6.00 and above, Windows checks only for
6.00.

However, if it had worked there would have been a lot more problems, since the
XCOMUTIL.CFG file that would have been installed would have been incompatible
with version 8.0. I will try to correct this problem, even though it is not my
package. Please be patient.
