Is there an end to this game?
Can the computer be anymore stupid?
Can anything get anymore repetitive?
When I read the box, I figured it would be like a Command & Conquer in the
WC universe, you know, entire fleets & Wings going at it.
Instead it is one carrier & its ships vs. one carrier & its ships.
AND instead of bombing the carrier, once you take out the fighter cover,
the thing automatically dies. Snore.
Anyone in the 503 Portland area?
I'm not impressed. If anyone loves this game, is there something I'm
missing???

While it has one player aspects, it was in fact meant to simply satisfy those people who were screaming for the ability to roast their neighbors. The strategy modes are more like Chess than anything else. Your carriers are the Kings and must be protected at all costs. Find a buddy to play with and you'll enjoy Armada much more. -- ___________________________________________________________________________ Patrick "Hedgehog" Bryant | The Terran Confederate Underground brya...@vt.edu | "THE site for Wing Commanders!" http://acm.vt.edu/~bryantpe/ | http://acm.vt.edu/~bryantpe/underground/

Yes, the Armada part is extremely easy to beat, and a bit simplistic. The only good part of the game is the ability to play directly against other people over a modem or network. > _____________________________ > ...Mental Shock...SP > _____________________________________________________________ > "Toll the bell, pay the private eye, all's well, the 20th century dies..." > --db > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > ---------------------------- > "Where's Aeon Flux when you need her?" If you play the computer on ace mode it makes it a bit of a challenge, but it is still pretty easy once you master the space combat. The only thing I haven't done is completed the Gauntlet, but I don't really play the game much apart from over the modem link.
