I learned the new rellease date for wing commander IV after being
quite dissapointed. I had seen an ad in the sunday paper for it at
best buy. When I got there it was a "mistake". I is coming out
February 2nd. I really hate when software companies do this. I think
they do it to hype up the game. That makes me so mad but I will buy
the game anyway. They've got me by the balls!f

With over $12 million in capital tied up in the game, Origin would be insane
to delay major revenues just to hype a product that's practically a sure hit
anyway. The game is delayed because there are numerous bugs still to fix.

I think you should save your ire for game companies that *don't* delay
buggy games, and use the public as beta testers. :-)

What pisses me off is that they don't say, "Well, it's not quite ready
yet. We're setting release back to spruce up the code a little."
Rather, they tell us about clever marketing plans. Now that pisses me
off. They don't have enough confidence in their public to tell us
what's going on.

Did they actually think they were fooling anyone with that line? :-)

Someone on this group threw a major hissy fit over it... Forget who,
but they swallowed it whole. How many deluded people are there out
there?
