Star Destroyer. SDs have many hundreds of Turbo Laser batteries, Ion Cannons, Tractor Beams, etc... Considering one blast takes out a star fighter... do the math.

Okay, I'm going to say this again. This makes the HUGE assumption that Star Wars blasters are nearly as powerful as Wing Commander blasters. It is my opinion that they are not nearly as powerful. Besdies, the Dreadnaught has to have antimatter guns, right? If it does, then it's all over right there. Even with only lasers and its other standard guns, this wouldn't be a contest. Star Destroyers have nowhere near the shielding of the cap ships in WC, and those shield domes are SO easy to destoy, leaving the whole thing pretty much defenseless. Evan

Nope nope. =) I played Tie Defender of the Empire and it wasn't hard to take out an STD at all (Battle 8 when you have to kill an STD taken by the Rebels). My Tie Defender survived nary a scratch. If my dinky little Tie can do it, a Kilrathi Dreadnought can do it far more easily. To all flamers: This is a lighthearted thread and should not be taken seriously. Otherwise, seek professional help. BTW, Dreadnoughts have a Tractor Beam too. > Nope nope. =) I played Tie Defender of the Empire and it wasn't >hard to take out an STD at all (Battle 8 when you have to kill an STD >taken by the Rebels). One anti-matter gun shot and it's history..

In article <4cjneg$p...@news.worldlinx.com>, Phil Paradias <ppar...@mail.bcs.ca> says: > >Who do you think would win? > I'd be curious to see if anybody actually had any specs on the Imperial Star Destroyer. I've seen the _Star Wars Technical Readouts_ at a few bookstores; could a schematic be in there? Thanks, John Alme al...@mail.utexas.edu
