With regards to my question about the dreadnought. Turns out there is a losing sequence that I got caught in. Apparently this mission is unwinnable. Thanks to the various folks who pointed that out to me. I restarted the game and seem to be headed in the right direction. It looks like when you're in the Kilrathi system, make sure you kill EVERY single ship in the first coupla missions, or whatever is left makes a jump and you get put into the losing sequence. Of course, if I'da known this, I wouldn't have allowed any ships to escape. I had to start from the very beginning to get back on the winning track. I'm currently in the Nebula mission where everything is real dark. This mission is a challenge, but I'll eventually get it licked. One hint about this mission: make sure you point out the targets for your wingman, or he / she will go right to the capital ships with enemy fighters, and will have to eject too soon. Believe me, you'll need your wingman this entire mission. Dave Wimmers dwim...@erinet.com

Well... You must successfully complete every mission from the scientist rescue on.
