Don't feed the trolls. In case you didn't notice, he's attempting to flood can.sun-stroke with replies from less experienced users.

And his post to alt.games.wc3 showed he didn't know that the group was actually created for Wing Commander 3. He went with "a gay orc comes into your bed".

Would you be so quick to dismiss it if it were one of the newsgroups _you_ regularly read that were the subject of such an attack, and of hundreds posts a day, only a few of them were actually on the subject of the group? (For really determined attacks, which this admittedly isn't as far as I can tell from Google, "hundreds" is the low end of the scale.) No I would not mind it if some guy delivered hundreds of morons who were big suckers for trolling right to my doorstep. >(For really determined attacks, which this admittedly isn't as far as >I can tell from Google, "hundreds" is the low end of the scale.)

You need to loosen up a little and try to have a little fun with it. Crying about it has never stopped them from posting. (Neither has ignoring them)

(Neither has ignoring >them) Well, the difference here is that the Usenet clown is trying to keep score - counting the number of replies in addition to flooding diffferent newsgroups. Since he isn't a troll, he isn't claiming the -50 penalty for each primary topic that he's creating. Thus, he's just trying a spamming run, plain and simple. Best to prevent whatever group he decides to flood next. I seen a vary similar attack occurr on a popular newsgroup: rec.games.roguelike.nethack. That was simply one person doing multiple postings, but could be avoided by doing multiple instant-killfiles. In this case, it's harder to killfile because there isn't any consistant means to fileter the posts. (But yeah, he's using a very generic troll post. Appearently, he ended up with simple "read the FAQ" rather than the expected discord for one posting.)
