Hi,

I have tried to install Privateer 2 on my PC and it went ok.

However when I try to play the game I have two problems,

1/ Using the bulletin board is difficult, the graphics are very slow and 
the mouse doesn't select properly.

2/ In combat the game is so fast that it is unplayable, assume it is a 
cpu issue.

With WC4, I have managed to install ok, but again the combat is 
unplayable due to speed

Can anyone provide advice on how to overcome these problems.

Yeah, the speed limiter's sort of flaky.  Assuming you have P2: Deluxe (the W9x
version), try using the patch at the very bottom of this page:
http://wcrevival.de/hcl/exe_dll/

Where, exactly do you have speed problems?
Are you running the Windows 9x version, or the DOS version?

I'm using the Dos version with the win9x patch. When moving around the 
ship it seems ok, but selecting stuff can be dificult, it is mainly the 
combat again.
