Hi I'm a newbie Freelaner Pilot, played all the WC & Priv' games tho'. Is there or will there ever be a patch for joystick support out there for the game?. Mouse control is the pits.... I can handle it but it certainly takes some getting used to! C'mon Microsoft I own a Sidewinder joystick, give me a reason to use it! Skiddy.

But you might wanna try general joystick to mouse mappers like 'joymouse'. Dunno if the work in game however. -- Q: How many Gill Bateses does it take to change a light bulb? A: One. I, too, here am new! ;> I also hate the mouse control, but you will get used to it (unfortunately). I also have a question...I have been to about every part of space on the map, (Liberty, Bretonia, Kusagy, and Germantown ;>) is there more than this? I can't seem to find Freeport 9, or Cadiz Base, Freistadt Base, Leon Base or Planet Crete? Where are the Border Worlds and is there more than "Sigma Sector"? Oh, yeah, Skiddy, when you get to (I think its Omega 13 ) there will be two "Xs" on the map saying that these are old fighters, go to them and shoot at them you will get a nice suprise (hint: have your tractor beam finger ready) ;> What ship are you up to, Skiddy? You also might want to ignore Juni as much as possible when she lets you go for work and get as many credits as you can! Also when you get to the Battleship Osiris take advantage of the wonderful deals in Betty Boop's Bargain Basement Bazaar! Thanks for the help in advance! Paul C. I hated the mouse based flight at first but after a good deal of time I love it now - I tend to feel like my aim accuracy and kill rates are much higher now than if I were using a joystick. Hi there, "The Demolition Man" <x@y.z> writes: [...] >I hated the mouse based flight at first but after a good deal of time I >love it now - I tend to feel like my aim accuracy and kill rates are much >higher now than if I were using a joystick. Give it time... you'll see what >I mean. while this may be true, I still hate mouse flight. I just can't get myself to imagine sitting in a space fighter/small freighter cockpit with a tablet in front of me and a keyboard by my side to drag a mouse around for turning/aiming and frantically hitting buttons to drop countermeasures/mines or fire missiles or what-not. At least, with joystick control, as it used to be, most inflight functions (turn/pitch/roll/throttle) and firing controls (fire guns, fire missiles) and afterburner were concentrated in one control mechanism. Purely my opinion, tho. Have fun, Martin -- Martin Boening, mb...@t-online.de The primary requisite for any new tax law is for it to exempt enough voters to win the next election.
