Hey guys. Just a few questions:

What are the differences between the PC and PSX
versions of Wing Commanders 3 and 4? Please don't
say "The PC version is better" or other pure-opinion
statements.

Not sure about WC4, but console versions of WC3 didn't include the
ground missions. Pre-rendered cut-scenes were used instead. Probably
the same with WC4.

Pro PC:
* Higher Resolution (I think)
* Ground Missions
* Better Joystick (if you have one)

Pro Console:
* In some versions of WC3 (I am not sure if ir was PSX, sorry) you got a
good deal more moves then in the PC version. Some rather essentiell ones
like "the Hobbes explanation movie".

Yes, both WC3 and WC4 on the PSX (and 3D0, for WC3) replaced the
ground missions with FMV. The console versions also had a little more
room to play around in, as PC CDs at the time were primarily 61-minute
discs, while consoles had 70-minute discs. That's why, for example,
the Hobbes betrayal explanation clip made it to the console WC3, but
not the PC WC3.

What about it? I've only played the pc version, so I haven't seen that
movie. Does the hairball have a good explanation ;)?

You can download the movie and see for yourself:

ftp://ftp.wcnews.com/files/wing3/hobbes.zip
(507k)
