Hi all

I seem to have a corrupt file when trying to install the game. I
downloaded to full file verson. The game installs about 95% and then I
get " Unable to extract from Cabinet: Cabinet my have been corrupted".
Has anyone else incountered this problem? If so, how did you fix it?.

PS. I installed WC: SOPS first. Then tied to install WC:UE in the SOPS
directory. Again, I get the error message.

Thanks

RB

You HAVE to install UE into the SO directory or it won't work. Your
error seems to indicate a broken archive however. I fear you'll have to
redownload :-(

There are two directories Origin/SecretOps main and sub SO directory.
Which one should I install UE to?

Oh - what I forgot: If the setup does extract files and you are on 56k
modem or slower you might want to post all files (filenames only)
extracted. Maybe you only miss one or two files that I could mail you
separately instead of having you waiting days again for DLing.

There are?! I only see one directory, usually called c:\Secret Ops IIRC.
You might be talking about the start menu? Located at
c:\windows\StartUp\Origin\SecretOps (hope that is the name - I use a
different language of Windows so I try to translate).

You need to install UE into the directory which has the Secret Ops
files. Not into the directory that only has the start menu entries.
If in doubt look for secretops.exe, launcher.exe, gl_00002.dll, ...
That is the right directory.

UE should create its own startup folder as well as uninstall information.

PS: Don't worry about SO. UE does not modify any SO files. Both are
playable after installing UE.
