Idea 'bout running WC1 under Win 2k

Hi NG,

I got it to set up WC1 on Win 2k Pro. OKOK, it was a little trick with it.
This trick is named VMWare ;)

But I still have one Problem: It's running too fast. Not like on a PI 100,
where you cannot see anything, but with about double or triple speed. It's
playable, you can control the ship, but you can't get to hit an enemy.

It's the following configuration:

* AMD 1600+ machine
    * Windows 2k Pro
        * VMWare Workstation emulating
            * an IMB-Compatible machine (16 MB RAM, mouse, Standard VGA
Adapter, no sound, no gameport)
                * DOS 6.22 w/ WC 1

One Way to slow down the system is to start multiple instances of VMWare,
but this is not controllable and I think there might be a better way to get
WC1 to a playable speed. But I do not know this way. Any Ideas?

TIA

You could run something like Turbo
(http://www.gamehippo.com/free_util/turbo.shtml) to slow the computer
down.
