I used to hate seeing these things all over the net, but now I find
them to be fun. I read on another newsgroup that a good deterrent is
to send magazine subscriptions from your mags around the house with
the ever important "bill me later" checked. If just one person on
each newsgroup that receives this message will send just one magazine
subscription to each of the five people on the list, then assuming
they send it to 200 newsgroups, that would be a total of 156,200
subscriptions just for sending this out to 200 newsgroups and getting
your whopping $3905 (I've calculated it before).

Figure that the cancellation of these bills will cost $.35 each that
is $54,670. Golly gee wilakers! That's $4,000 more than the common
advertised $50,000 (which doesn't calculate based on their
statistics).

Anyhow, I've got my five for this posting. Anyone else want to join
me and give each of them another subscription to cancel? BTW, mine is
the coverage for alt.games.wargames. Someone still has to do the
other 199 newsgroups this was posted to. I think I'll sendthem a
subscription to one of my miniatures magazines. <EvilGrin>
