Hi all,
I have seen this issue of RAM speed of 60 Vs. 60 ns
go on for so long..
I currently use 70 ns RAM in my 486.
The point is the other day I took the ram to some computer store
to determine what the speed ranking of the RAM was.
To my surprize it tested at 50 ns.
The guy who tested it explained that the RAM chips are faster than
the speed they they are ranked at, i.e. you have some extra speed.
for me mine tested at 50 ns although it is a 70 ns RAM.
I would then say that 70 ns RAM is safe for both 60 and 66 MHZ mother
board speeds.
What is wrong with my argument?
Is 70 ns realy safe for bus speeds of 66 MHZ?
Am I mistaken?
Whats the mistaken?
