Both are on the motherboard and short of totally disabling them, I can't do anything about their memory usage. Two more blocks in the C000-CFFF range are used by the Promise interface, then above that is the USB controller I/O and the standard IDE interface. I'll just have to get hold of the old computer and with it I CAN disable devices like the SCSI which I am not using. Rob
