To cheat or not to cheat - that is the question

Since cheat codes also get applied to the oppoisition I reckon that
some of the levels are actually harder to beat if you use the cheat
codes. I tried several times to beat the last orc level using the
'make it so' and 'glittering prizes' cheats but kept getting wiped out
by the other clans who could build up huge navies really quickly. In
the end I tried without the cheats and managed to grind out a slow but
eventual victory.

If you've played all levels through without cheats trying them with
cheats can make them completely different (and in many cases much
harder).

I was proceeding along without cheats in the last orc level but ran
out of gold. I almost got to the end, but lost all my men trying.
When I used the gold cheat the opposition began creating even more
units than I could handle, that is until I discovered the strategy to
beat the level. Then I went back to the last save before using the
cheat and using up all my gold, used the strategy I had discovered and
beat the level again.
