I've been reading awhile, and still don't know what PUDS are! Can

.pud is the filename extension used by Blizzard for custom or modified
games for Warcraft II.

A 'PUD' is a custome or modified gamefile that some created for WC II
that you can run.

I too was wondering what a ".pud" file was. Now that I know what it
is... Can you tell me how to use it? Also, if I create my own custom
scenario, can I use it in the same way?

Thanks

That's what the editor is there for. After you've created your own
pud with the editor, then you can load/run it by selecting 'custom'
scenarios from the menu.

Also, there are a number of additional .pud files on the CD. The story
is that they are the scenarios comprising the 'missing' Veterans'
Campaign, which Blizzard didn't have time to build into the game, but
DID document. Just select one of them (using a 'custom' scenario from
the menu) and give it a whirl.

Now, getting the editor up&running, and learning how to use it, that,
my friends, is another story. There's been good and bad reports re:
the editor. Apparently, it runs fine under Win95, but to run it under
Win 3.x you have to have the win32s and WinG extensions loaded
(emulating 32-bit windows and a graphics extension).

Read the doc files .
