Some pretty interesting stuff in the panel just now (when I finally got through the nonstop buffering, for a paid stream it was awful...), IF the reality lives up to it, then I think Legion will at least be an improvement on WoD, I'm wary of being more optimistic till I see more but it seems to have potential ;-) Stuff that interested me includes: Scaling mobs/zones below lvl 110, so you can do the levelling zones in any order (hooray, might be the first expansion since Wrath that it's actually bloody playable on my server then, if we all spread out across 4 zones instead of 4k+ people all trying to do the same few quests at once), and rewards likewise scale. I especially like the sound of *everything* then being usable as max lvl content, always found it a shame that you rarely go back to some pretty cool zones, just because they're low lvl. Endgame world content, reminded me of the D3 bounty system tbh, stuff to do all over the map, and pick what you like the look of, with none of it daily, but varying lengths of availability, so not daily chores. It certainly seems likely to be a huge improvement over WoD's (lack of) endgame, whether it has lasting power remains to be seen. This is the one which really needs to work for me. Dungeons ending the main storylines again, well actually my first thought was "oh no" because I really don't like pugging dungeons. But with that said, I did bother with them more when they were actually relevant and part of the story, rather than standalone places with no connection to anything much. Maybe this time out I'll last more than 4 dungeons into an expansion before hitting a pug bad enough to put me off trying any more... :-P We'll see, it might be better this time out at least, if what they're talking about actually happens (and I note everything they showed seems pretty near finished, maybe they've given up showing concepts because people really don't like it when stuff doesn't happen) At the very least the zones look graphically awesome, as usual, so I'll certainly enjoy exploring it, whatever may happen after that. (Also druids enjoy your new moonkin/aquatic forms, they look tons better!)

Yep, that's a sure sign they're doing well! > Scaling mobs/zones below lvl 110, so you can do the levelling zones in > any order (hooray, might be the first expansion since Wrath that it's > actually bloody playable on my server then, if we all spread out > across 4 zones instead of 4k+ people all trying to do the same few > quests at once), and rewards likewise scale. This applies to ALL the zones? I was told that this was for the starting zones (up to level 98 or so) only and that it specifically did NOT apply to the new content. -- If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen defrocked, doesn't it follow that electricians can be delighted, musicians denoted?

Well, it's me trying not to get overly optimistic after being so badly let down last time. I actually really like the sound of it! But I also liked the sound of WoD.... >the only interesting thing that I've heard so far is that Blizzard will >no longer release subscriber numbers. > >Yep, that's a sure sign they're doing well! Or they're bored of the feeding frenzy and screams of "WoW is dying!!!" every single time, no matter whether it goes well or badly... but yeah, timing on that change is interesting. >> Scaling mobs/zones below lvl 110, so you can do the levelling zones in >> any order (hooray, might be the first expansion since Wrath that it's >> actually bloody playable on my server then, if we all spread out >> across 4 zones instead of 4k+ people all trying to do the same few >> quests at once), and rewards likewise scale. Other way was what I understood - new content only, not old content, at least there was no mention of anything below the Legion zones. It's *definitely* for the new content, since they made a point of it being that you can do the new zones in whatever order you want, instead of always having to take much the same route. I look forward to that one on two fronts: one, less overcrowding in the Horde starter zone on my server, and two, much as I like questing, it gets boring doing the exact same stuff on each alt, and you always have to do a big chunk of the first zone in order to get high enough to reach the 2nd or 3rd zones, it'll be nice to vary which zones I do now. (The downside is it completely wrecks ironman challenge levelling, hopefully Draenor mobs stay green up to 110, since at high lvls it's simply impossible to kill same lvl mobs as an ironman, oh well!)

Yeah, it sounds like an improvement. I doubt I will be buying it, though maybe I will. Maybe. -- "There's sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they don't go anywhere."

I will be getting it, but only one copy at first, and not on pre-order until the last minute (usually I preorder it for both my accounts asap) - Blizz no longer have my unquestioning loyalty, but I'll give them one more chance, since it sounds like they've learned some lessons. The very fact that they included a 5 mins plus segment about endgame questing suggests they've realised how much the WoD endgame let people down, normally they barely mention anything outside raids and dungeons!

Place bets on how fast the instance servers fall over on patch 7.0 release day as everyone starts filling up those transmog collaction slots... I can't wait for that, heard a while back that they wanted to do it like the D3 system but it's even better than I expected, awesome. :-) Dammit Blizz, I'm really struggling to maintain a cautious attitude here, everything sounds great so far!
