I like making it a reward for going out and exploring, works very well for me. Granted, I suspect it won't placate the biggest whiners, who all seem to hate the concept of exploring and immersion, but it's certainly a good solution for those of us who didn't mind in the first place! Not looking forward to competing with the whole population of Draenor for repgrinding though, guess I'll be staying up late and doing it at 2am a lot... or maybe if I'm lucky the people who got bored won't all return at once for 6.2, some hope!

I move 2 of my chars to Draenor one of the next days. But I keep my lock on the low-pop DMF realm. So I will do the rep grind on that char as the Draenor-flying skill will be account-wide. :) -- Peter T. <https://www.elitedangerous.com/>

Indeed, excellent post on the subject. But spending a great deal of time in the casual pvp battle grounds I'm afraid I'll wait until this fall when flying will *probably* be less grind intensive vetred on the Steamwheedle server

Welcome to Draenor when you get over here, hope it suits you well :-) If you ever need help from a jewelcrafting priest, my main is Sagart, admittedly I'm not playing him much right now but will be back on him when 6.2 hits, no doubt.

Explore Draenor: Should have most of this done already (especially if you do loremaster), do the rest bit by bit while waiting on BG queues :-) Treasures: It seems to only be 100 treasures (there's well over 200 total), install HandyNotes addon and the Draenor Treasures plugin for it, then they'll appear on the map - skip the awkward ones and jumping puzzles, you'll easily make 100 from the simple to reach ones. Also gives good garrison resources if needed, worth doing on an alt that's struggling for resources, assuming the progress is accountwide. Securing Draenor: This is the awkward one, MMO-C stats suggest only 3.7% of players have done it so far... so, any time you can spare half an hour or so, check what the Apexis daily is and see if you've done it yet, since it takes time to get the last few to spawn. If you start now, then by the time this gets released you should be most of the way there, even if you only do 1-2 a week :-) Tanaan reputations... well, I don't know how grindy they are yet, we'll see! It's only revered; if it's like Frostwolves who get revered through questing, then great, or like Steamwheedle where you just run around killing rares/looting treasure, fine... if it's more like Laughing Skull where it's a 5 rep per mob grind right from neutral, then urgh. We'll see... hopefully the message that people don't enjoy meaningless grinds quite so much as in vanilla got through and the new factions will be more interesting...

Way less time commitment if you just do one at a time instead of grinding out the lot :-)

I just moved my mage 1 hour ago. When I would move my own guild I wasnt allowed due to the 7 day issue. I'd totally forgot that before I promoted my shammy to GM a few hours before... Oh well. I luckily have a few stacks of the most important mats on my mage. UI was more less cluttered in default state mode. Had to load loads of profiles in all the addons etc. And now a completely new garrison layout. Argh! The bonus seems to be 2 new followers... I have to check that out tomorrow. Bed calls. :) Btw my mage's name is now Multiproc. -- Peter T. <https://www.elitedangerous.com/>

Ahh, unlucky on that one, sounds a complicated business! Welcome aboard though, hope it suits you; as it is at present, it probably will, but if population rises then you may see why I complain about it at times! Right now it's fine, loads aren't playing, and those who are live in their garrisons and not outside, so you can actually do stuff... Tanaan may be a return to normal however. I just hope the phasing tech applies to it effectively - being fair, once they added that tech after WoD launch it was far more playable than it's ever been on this server since about Wrath. >UI was more less cluttered in default state mode. A lot colder too, and you'd better like orcs... ;-) Gotta say I FAR prefer the alliance garrison, maybe I'm just burned out on orcs though, and I was never big on their building styles, but yeah, alliance garrison looks amazing compared with ours. Yes, I'm jealous - need to lvl my ally alts sometime :-) >The bonus seems to be 2 new followers... I have to check that out >tomorrow. Bed calls. :) > >Btw my mage's name is now Multiproc. Cool, will add you when I'm next on - noticed your name was already in use when I remembered about your transfer the other day and checked armory to see if you'd moved - the belf mage I found then clearly wasn't you! Must be a nightmare trying to get decent names on Draenor these days, kinda glad my account is full now, as I suspect most names are long since taken :-)
