Here I come, Draenor. :P

I found an old and very active danish horde guild on Draenor. Apply.
"Welcome, Kvast!". I move my chars in 5 weeks.

See you on the dark side, Catriona. :)

Hah, nice, you're also on my home realm then, hopefully see you
around! Be warned, this realm *can* be incredibly overcrowded, we
benefitted hugely from the lifting of the population cap in early WoD,
having had queues of 3-4k... however right now we're way quieter than
that, much like everyone else lol.

I'm looking forward for it. I still remember the overcrowded AH on my
realm back in the BC days. 50 peeps around the only mailbox made it a
bit difficult to get your wares. :) Before I logged out in january I
saw tumbleweeds rolling around in SW. And according to my friends there
it should be even worse now. ^^

Hehe it doesn't seem so quiet as a lowbie, but yeah, Draenor is much
higher pop. Way too high pop for me most the time, it's only been the
last couple of months that it's come down to a level I find vaguely
tolerable, last couple of expansions I've spent cursing all these damn
incomers who keep moving across and making it even more ovecrowded ;-)

I suggest leaving a character behind if you ever want to do anything
involving rare spawns, capturing rare pets, etc etc - it's infinitely
easier on ER/DMF than Draenor, trust me!

So no more queues at the login screen?

Btw. My previous guild also moved to Draenor. They moved a few days
ago. When they heard I also move to Draenor they offered me a spot in
their raid team. They moved as nobody wanted to join their guild on DMF
(officially its the lack of player pool on DMF). It was a please to say
"hell no thx". Drama, drama.. :]

Oh yes! I'll start transferring 2 chars and my own guild. Its crazy
expensive, but I think its worth it as the realm becomes more and more
empty. The last 7 chars will stay on DMF and ER. Just for fun, old
times, friends, achs and mount runs. :)

Nope, they fixed those a week or so into WoD by lifting the population
cap (was about 4k, went up to about 8k, going by Censusplus results
ingame), queues went down to only a few mins at that point (having
been several hours at first), then gone altogether and I don't see our
pop ever getting that high again unless the next expansion has a
similar effect of bringing back loads of people. So unless they lower
it back down again, login queues are probably a thing of the past.
However, lag and competition for mobs are still both alive and well,
we'll probably see both in Tanaan when 6.2 hits...

Hehe drama sucks, indeed, I gave up on guilds after a while, as I came
to the conclusion that I was a source of a fair part of the drama
which I hated; I'm evidently not a person who fits well in group
settings like that!

I'd go to a medium-high pop realm in your position, not one as
overpopulated as Draenor, but then I know from experience what
over-full realms are like - give me an empty one any day ;-)

Nah. I just got online 3 hours ago. I was able to buy a token from the
char selection screen. Cool. :)

DMF: tumbleweeds everywhere. Draenor: peeps everywhere. Me like!
I made a orc hunter and ran to Org. I could see someone multiboxing
with 20 accounts from the FP in Org. Funfun. :)

Yeah, useful system, I like that design :-)

>DMF: tumbleweeds everywhere.

It's not that bad, ER/DMF alliance have 2-3 times Draenor alliance pop
;-) And tbh it honestly doesn't seem that quiet when I'm playing,
sure, out in the world it's mainly Argent Dawn people I see, but SW is
far from empty, and there's certainly a good number of lower lvl
players actually on ER/DMF - ironman seems to be picking up a bit
again lately which is helping there a little, at least.

It's fine as it is right now, yeah... this is way below peak pop
though, if WoD hasn't totally killed enthusiasm you'll see more when
6.2 hits, and you'll certainly see when the next expansion comes lol.
Before I upgraded my graphics card a few months back, I couldn't go to
the front of Org unless I wanted fps to drop visibly, and as my eyes
are sensitive to lower fps (anything below 50ish gives me a headache),
I basically spent all my time in the tauren bit of the town, and even
that was busier than I liked. Much better now, since for the first
time the expansion city has an AH, that to me is one of the WoD
changes that I like; people sit in their garrison instead of turning
cities into a massive lagfest!

Seen that multiboxer around a bit lately, at least assuming it's the
same one I've seen, 20-odd warlocks I think, with a number of rather
fancy mounts, a friend of mine wanted the spectral tiger because it
was unusual, and I had to tell him it looks rather common when this
guy's riding around with 20-odd of them in a line :-D
