As I understand it, Lesser charms will be used for upgades until the
expansion hits, think upgrades aren't in at all at lvl 100. I was
going to save my valor and enjoy the free gold, since I have 5700+
lesser charms, but apparently it's 47 silver per point, that's not
really that much! So I'm just burning valor on all my alts now :-)

It boggles me to realize that VPs are going away this Tuesday. I've
already started loading up one of my toons with completed dailies and
weeklies to max out VP as fast as possible after the reset; but now
it looks like that was a wasted effort.

I wonder what I should buy with them instead.

All mine are down in low tens or a hundred, and then I get 3 burdens in 
an hour on the least geared while trying to get it at least a timeless 
weapon , and a boatload of 'almost free' leather for the new leather 
worker... always the way.

  It is wow, whatever you do will probably be wrong and there will be a 
better thing to have done. Don't sweat over minmax much just accept 50% 
of what you ever do will be wasted. Actually 50% would be a bit hopeful 
and I am not just talking about wow now :-)

My two "highest" toons are maxed out on upgrades. I don't mind getting 
their valor converted to gold. All my other 90s have valor below 250 as 
I always spend it on upgrades as soon as I get it. Two of my 90s still 
need a burden each to upgrade their last piece of gear that is sub 535 
to 535 minimum pre upgrade.

Of course my 2 highest 90s have lesser charms to burn while all the 
other 90s have some but not lots.

Not the end of the world either way. Real life work might make all this 
moot if I can't play enough to get my $15/month's worth.

At this point, my lock has 33k Timeless coins (he just bought the mount), 
5385 lesser charms, 4000 JPs, 2870 VPs, 43k gold.

Similar on the pally.

My main has 45k Timeless coins, 5700-odd charms, 2k JPs, 100-odd VPs
(upgraded everything I could the other day!), 270k gold. I like the
changing everything to gold/charms, way less hassle lol. It's going to
feel weird not having VPs though, at least there *is* a currency to
work with in WoD, but it's a bit different to before, you have to
grind dailies for them, and instead of lots of little dailies spread
out around several hubs it's one massive one - based on the one I
attempted the other day, where I couldn't even tag any mobs, it'll be
absolute hell on my very high pop server... :-(

Btw a suggestion for anyone not aware - I hadn't know till today that
there are commendations for WotLK factions buyable for justice points
- 16 JP = 520 rep, absolute bargain! So any alts with spare justice to
burn and who hasn't maxed their reps may as well make use of that! I'm
on my way to run my alts over there one by one... :-)

JP vendor in Dalaran, however Ashen Verdict isn't one of the reps
involved, it's just the ones you could use tabards in dungeons for. 

I need to farm ICC too, gave up when I failed dismally on gunship
battle last time I tried (went fine the previous time but I had an alt
along them, I need to try dualboxing again I guess), maybe it'll be
less painful after the aptch. or maybe not as people on beta were
complaining it's even harder than before... wonder if it's been fixed
yet!

With the changes this feels like the prior upgrade changes.
Make them available for less, give more slots, then once they are burned 
up make them half price for limited random times.
Award boost, include professions, people go to some effort to get the 
professions, then make them not worth so much.

  I know it is a balance, give people things to do but not too much too 
quickly, just enough to think it counts :-)

For $15 or so (exchange rates) wow is available 23.5/7 on average. A 
little over 2 cents an hour. 10 cents an hour if you grind a few hours a 
day. It costs 20 cents an hour to run the computer to play the game at 
high graphics. 14 cents an hour to get internet.
It is very cheap to buy the gameplay, so why do I feel a little bit 
cheated by the changes?

Too bad I cant buy rep for Oracles in Scholazar Basin. :(  Otherwise I 
would have eigth 90es farming the mount and battle pets from the eggs.
