Mage - T15 better than T16

I just tested my full tier 16 (536/548/561/561) set against my full tier 15 set (510/510/530/530) on my arcane mage. After 5 tests with each set on a dummy at the Shrine the results were crystal clear. Selfbuffed: arcane brilliance, mage armor and crystal of insanity. No use of Alter Time, Arcane Power, Mirror Image or Time Warp: T16: ~ 195-210k dps T15: ~ 221-248k dps And I did not even use one of the T15 bonuses (crit/mastery/haste bonus after Alter Time). ^^ So its true what I've read. Full T15 *IS* better > than full T16! 3 tests with each tier set with Alter Time and Arcane Power: T16: ~ 240-269k dps T15: ~ 270-302k dps Additional items: Legendary cloak, BiS trinkets (536/548) and a 548 staff. All other items are a mix of SoO LFR, timeless and flex. Rotations: With T15 I went a normal 4 stack of Arcane Blast rotation while in T16 I always try to keep up 4 stacks of Arcane Blasts as long as possible. With that in mind my Barrage spreads to the other dolls around which makes the dps output from the t15 tests a bit biased. Its not the first time Blizzard makes a tier set that is worse than the previous tier set. But this difference really surprises me as the dps output scales logarithmically to ilvl. So the 4/T15 bonus is quite overpowered! Edit: I tested a dummy i SW that stands alone away from the other dummies. So the results will now be more "real" as my dots and barrage doesnt spread to other dummies. 3 tests with each tier set - No AT, MI and AP: T16: 140-155k T15: 160-180k -- Peter T. <https://elite.frontier.co.uk/>
