is it posssible to cast a spell on more tahn one unit at a time? I try to
make a group of Paladins invisible and it doesn't seem to work. Maybe its 
just this one spell ...how about the other spells??

You know what?  You have a good idea for Warcraft 3.  I'm sure everyone 
that plays Warcraft II is pissed off about the same thing you are.  I 
know I am.  We can only hope there is another sequel, or a patch that 
fixes little things like that.
