Here are some strategies I have found useful: -Dragons/Gryphons suck alone, but, they are useful as part of a larger strategy-they make ground units (except archers/trolls) scatter out of formation. Use 1 or 2 air units to wreak havoc, followed closely by ground troops to catch enemy off guard. -If the enemy attacks with air units, send your defenseless ground units to engage the enemy or into the enemy town. At least the air units might help damage their own side. -send multiple mages that have had invis cast on them to separate corners of an enemy town and cast blizzard. Enemy has to divide troops and hunt down all mages, by which time they will have done a healthy amount of damage (choose targets wisely, even having 2 mages cast on 1 important structure ie towers, barracks, town halls). -Groups of catapults/ballistas!! They may move slow, but with five or six fully upgraede 'pults firing, they can take out towers and buildings in little or no time. make sure to back up with knights. -Build more than 1 town hall as fast as possible! Especially when playing human opp's. It's a gamble depending on the terrain (how long it takes for him to find you through trees, etc., how close towns are) to decide whther to concentrate on peons early, to gain the upper hand later, or units early to defend against large attack. -Flanks are important. Try to amass troops on either side of a natural barrier (copse of trees, mountain, etc.) and when attacked, send troops around behind to cut him off. Also, pay close attention to natural choke points and design tower crossfire zones coupled with 'pults. -Stake out your areas early and fortify them. Don't try to expand beyond your boundaries to early. hmmm...those seem pretty basic now that I write them out...guess my friends I play against just aren't very good... " We do what anyone would do when faced with overwhelming odds...We do our best." -Reed Richards " Free will, is it? How quaint!" -Mephisto "Triumph and Torment"

when you start buld a bulding you can put a peasant/peon to repair the building under construction. The construction will go much faster, but it will be a little more expensive.
