Apart from gratz announcements and gameplay issues people pretty much have a handle on what they want to do in the game or know how to google and hit up wowhead. Also there aren't a lot of new players and very few people are even aware usenet exists any more. It is all web forums. In OZ few ISPs provide news access any more, it is an extra and I **assume** that is typical?? And now to necro an old gripe, given there will be an expansion event and that most things are hopelessly OT yet somehow OT in a 'no post' thread, and notice how OnT and OffT shorten to OT? :-) It is very much like Ironforge during the zombie event. it was terribubble I tell you, a tragedy, a travesty, it jumped a whole school of sharks and landed in the crocodile farm. Oh look, kittens, did you know there is an actual brand name travesty. Who would buy clothes that are a Travesty?.
