To take this episode, I first dominated the seas.  By building up my sea
power first, I was able to pick apart the human defences with juggernauts.
I ran quite close on gold though.  Once I had enough sea power, I 
immediately attacked the human shipyard to destroy his production of 
sea vessels.  After that, you just have to worry about ballistas and
cannon towers.  Hope that helps.
