So in other words anything. And No... a: infinity over infinity is nothing... infinity is not a number, it cannot be specified in mathematical formulae. That's the entire idea behind calculus and "approaching infinity." b: 1/0 is undefined, not the other way around (you were speaking of saying undefinied is some formula instead of some formula being undefined). Undefined is a conecpt applied to a lot of mathematical equations, so no one definition can be thought of to be its definition. c: 0/0 is undefinied: however obvious it may seem that this should be 1, it's not, and that's the very heart of undefinied. >anything could be anything. And that means nothing is impossible. The having a value being undefinied does not mean it takes on some unknown value. If it takes on a value, it's definied; it's irrelevant whether we know what that value is or not. Infinity over infinity (as you put it) has no definition, it could not be "anything." >only cure for things that are impossible is time. With enough time, the >human race will overcome anything that someone says is impossible. Only if the impossible is later found to be possible. If scientists now are ultimately correct about lightspeed being a barrier for all matter in our universe (which I do, in fact, believe), then this is one impossibility that won't be overcome no matter how much time we have. -- Glenn Lamb - mum...@netcom.com -- Finger mum...@netcom.com for PGP Key.
