Einstein's equasions break down AT the speed of light. > There is nothing that says you cannot go BEYOND the speed of light. Yes there is. Einstein's special relativity explains precisely that. Einstein's equations don't break down at the speed of light. Especially since nothing with mass travels at the speed of light. Gravity only effects masses and the path of light beams, and other things restricted to follow the path of space-time. Now, Einstein's equations break down at the quantum level, since they're based on classical physics. > Ever here of Tachyons? Tachyons are just fiction created by crazed science fiction writers. If they existed, they'd be in a physics textbook right next to bizaar and unexplained things like neutrinos. > Similarly, Newtonian physics does not apply at the atomic level > therefore we have Quantum physics. What does Newtonian physics have to do with atoms? The strong and weak nuclear force interactions at the atomic label pretty much make the force of gravity pretty neglible. Newtonian physics break down near the speed of light, and relativistic physics breaks down on the quantum level. Relativity doesn't even completely break down, but merely becomes too fine for a uncertain reality. What a strange and wonderful universe...
