Nope, you just have fewer opportunites to get it - on the flipside you have plenty to begin with by default (they increased base regen a lot), so if you don't get spirit items, you can still cope ok. I've got I think 3 spirit items (one being my legendary cloak which really should be replaced soon!), struggle a bit on aoe healing in long fights, but otherwise seems fine, thankfully. I really miss reforging though, wish that hadn't been removed. Keep getting items where the secondary stats aren't great, but would be much more useful with a little reforging, as it is, those items end up in the bin most of the time. With so many randomised stat items where you can't just farm one particular item, it's hard to get the stats you most want :-/
