LFR isn't affected by it, only 5-man heroics - the idea is two paths: normals > LFR and heroics > higher end raiding. So if you only plan to LFR, don't bother, nothing important is gated behind it, except the legendary ring, and whatever, that can wait anyway, no way I plan to try heroic 5-mans till I'm way better geared. >This is a problem for me, since I've generally been a bit low >on my dps, and relied on grinding gear to keep up. I'm similar, but it's better than it was, at least, in that mobs scale up to your gear, instead of gear scaling down to the mobs - that made the healer one just plain impossible in moP. Haven't tried it now and frankly, won't bother till my stats are better optimised, at present they're all over the place, but I imagine I won't find it that easy anyway, I prefer to outgear things slightly.
