I only farm Kael on those classes that can wield the legendary staff
that grants to immunity (almost) to CC, silence, stuns and MC. Atm I
have a mage, lock, kitty druid, monk and shammy that can use the staff.
I lose dps, yes. But it also makes the fight far less annoying.

hehe. Gratz. :)

Even Thorim in Ulduar is soloable now (technically it was soloable
before 6.0.2 as any pet class was required and also you had to cheat the
game mechanics in the tunnel). So go ahead. :)

If you have a pet you can let that do all the damage. I did that when I
went there with my frost mage back in MoP. I rarely attacked Patchwerk
and just healed up my elemental pet now and then. A long an boring
fight, but doable as Patchwerk only attacked my pet.
Btw. With the latest big patch mages have absolutely no selfhealing or
pet healing anymore which makes old content a bit harder... :(
