I'm wondering the same thing. On the few heroic runs I've been doing lately
I managed something like 8.8-9.5k. I don't know the exact iLevel average but
I think most of my items are level 333 with some 346 and a few 359.

I checked my talent spec and with a variance of 4 talent points I seem to
have a SV spec that is pretty close to the one suggested on most sites.

I have reforged for heroic hit cap and have about 13% mastery, 21% crit and
about 20% haste. I know I have subpar enchants on my stuff but I'm not
paying 500g for an enchant on an item likely to be replaced again soon and
frankly I don't think the enchants will make a 20k difference in dps.

While I am sure that DPS will increase as my gear does, I fear that the
biggest factor will be my rotation and am not sure what to improve there. If
anyone has suggestions hit me with it!

I usually do:
(1) Hunters mark + Pet attack
(4) Serpent Sting
(5) Black arrow
(5) Explosive Shot
(6..) Cobra Shot until I have enough focus for something else
(7) refresh Black arrow if its cooldown is up
(8) Explosive Shot
(9) Kill Shot if mob is below 20%
(10) go back to 6..

Are my priorities wrong? I seem to be constantly out of focus, basically I
manage to get off one Explosive Shot a little slower than every CD.

On trash pulls I usually replace Explosive Shot with Multi Shot (modulo CC,
though that is already becoming rarer).

All information to armoury my character can be found in my sig.

Cheers
