hey there - Have a bit of a quandary I thought I'd get some advise to... Over the last several days, our guild and members has been subjected to harassment from various level 1 toons. We are unsure if this person is a former guild member, or someone that feels a member did them wrong or what - but is is clear this person is unhappy with the guild... lol The tactics are it is always a level 1 toon, usually a hunter. He spams every member of the guild as they come on and stay on with whispers (until he is ignored) by using the "who" and typing in the guild name to see all online members. He spams trade with derogative things about the guild and/or individual guild members. He obviously knows enough about the guild that he knows inside information either as a former guild member or acting on behalf of one. He uses a hunter so that he can name the pet something like the guild master's toons name and something bad. For example if the Gm was "joe", some recent examples are "Joesmoms" "joesaprick" etc, (you get the picture). this goes on for about an hour, then he disappears for about 15 minutes and it all starts all over again with a different toon as people have him blocked by then, and now they start getting whispers again. It's obvious that during this time, he's deleting and creating the new toon. This went on most of the day yesterday as well. Now, to get the obvious out of the way - This person has some obvious mental issues to keep this going, has no life and yes, we have submitted tickets to Bliz, but nothing. We have new guildies and they are being whispered with derogative things too. I;'m sure these people don't want to deal with this crap, and it makes it hard to make a good impression trying to deal with this. Now to the meat and potatoes of my post: This person would have to be a complete and utter moron to use thier regular account to do these character creations and deletions, so we are assuming that they are being done on a trial account. Would it not be more beneficial to everyone, if say below level 10 *on a trial account only*, you cannot join a guild, participate in trade chat, and/or other type of restrictions that would prevent abuse? Also would it not slow or reduce hackers if they put a 100g mail restriction on lower than level 10 trial accounts? Does anyone below level 10 on a trial account need more than 100g, to be able to post in trade, join guilds, ect. anyway? dunno...very frustrating. Bliz can't find gold hackers, so I doubt they can find this person. It'd be great if they do and suspend the persons account, but I doubt it. We'd figure they'd give up by now but alas, no avail. This person REALLY is sick and deranged to spend days and hours and an entire weekend doing this. Crazy people out there... Any suggestions on what the next step should be? I'm afraid of losing some potential new people who are really good raiders who may be great additions to the guild....If bliz can't do anything, I'm at a loss...
