Should probably qualify my suggestions by noting my warrior is no
longer prot (every other tank class I have is tank specced and I hate
tanking pugs so really, time to move one of them away!), but I think I
understand many of the basics of statting anyway.

Has your worgen finished Gilneas yet? If not, there's a blue one for
one of the quests there, according to wowhead :-) Otherwise there's a
quest early in Darkshore or another in Redridge. Or take a caster
stats shield as a stopgap, still lets you use the block feature and
will have armour, even if stats aren't ideal. When you start tanking,
get in Wailing Caverns early and kill that turtle - he has guaranteed
drop of a blue shield (one of two, the one with stats is better than
the one without, but both are decent for a start).

Strength for threat (agility gives no attack power, although it does
benefit crit and dodge, so it's ok if you find it on an item that's
otherwise decent too - but don't take it *instead* of strength), and
whichever avoidance stats you find, really - at low levels it's not
like there's a huge choice, you take whatever you find (I'm expecting
you won't find much, unless the new zones vastly changed
itemisation!). It'll be mainly dodge anyway, since that's the stat
which replaced defence on most older items.

One thing to note, is that dodge and parry (don't know so much about
block, since it's no longer found on most items anyway) both have
diminishing returns, but do not share said diminishing returns. So, if
you've got a choice between items with much the same stats on them,
one dodge, and one parry, pick the one you currently have less of,
because you'll get more benefit from it. My paladin reforged most of
her dodge items into parry when 4.0 came and gained a couple of %
avoidance out of it, simply because evening out the amounts meant she
got more benefit.
