I really don't think this is the correct place to post this, but it seems 
like I am seeing a LOT of C&C posts in this group anyway, so here goes:

Every time I try to start up a modem game in C&C, it keeps giving me the 
#$%(&^@ message that it cannot find the modem, check power and cables.
I set every damn setting and am infuriated because when I click on the OK 
button it doesn't even really check, it INSTANTLY shoots back with the 
message that it cannot find my modem.  Why the hell don't they have an 
IGNORE button so you can order C&C to send the damn strings anyway and 
see if it works?
I'd like some help on this from anyone who has had this problem, i have 
an internal Intel 14.4
