How the hell are they gonnna do this without seriously embarrasing the company. I mean the game is all but unplayable over the net and I can imagine that it will be even worse on mplayer. I would love to be able to see this one up close and personal. If you ask me they should just send Mark to E3 and they should get back to finishing the game. It's unfinished, and the most important part of the game (multiplay) is what needs to be finished. Hey don't get me wrong the single play is incredible. The best I have ever played. It didn't effect me as much as Doom did, but that came out of nowhere so for me it made a bigger impact. It sure was fun eyeing those lizards playing dice and sneaking up on them with a loaded eight ball and clearing the room <g>. The multiplay aspect of fps is what ensures a games lasting success these days however. So in my view this is the most important part of these kind of games. Game designers should start there and work around it. Epic obviously did not do this, but hopefully it's not too late and they can fix it. Hopefully they can add some umph to the weapons too. I have played alot with the bots and even a few hours of net play and the weapons don't really hold my interest. A few tweaks here and there might some of the weapons actually fun to use. (I do like the rifle though alot). I'm finished with the game now I wanna play dm but I can't. Were gonna have to wait until after E3 and foreign releases before anything is done. Sounds like priorty isn't with deathmatch right now. Netplay is sevrerly broken, and I betcha it's gonna take months before they get it working right...if they even can...maybe there's something about the engine that won't allow it, who knows (not me). By then Halflife will be out, and maybe Sin etc. Those games will probably qw quality dm out of the box. If Unreal is not playable by then ppl will move on other games. Then what will we have? 200 ppl playing Unreal at mplayer and a few other straglers here and there...the games following will be over. Geoff Leach (Bad Karma) ICQ# 4063263

I agree about the DM being what *makes* a FPS game in the end. As for the weapons, Tim Sweeney and his crew left TWO hidden weapons mesh in Unreal. So, people writing Mods can have it easier to make a badass (RL...maybe... or RG?) weapon. Watch how fast that is done. I guarantee there will be a new weapon soon. They are called "the QuadShotgun" and "The Cannon". For more info, go here: http://www.planetunreal.com/portal/ . Oh, they (Unreals creators) won't embarrass the company. They'll just make people want Unreal even more. Judging most posts, people are uninformed in general. Especially the people on Mplayer playing Q2, that is the audience they want to attract. They'll also drum up support for Mplayers "Plus" area. Just think of the newbie playing Q2 on Mplayer.... He doesn't know anything about Gamespy, or he'd be using it. Now, this really cool game he doesn't have came out, and if he did have it, he could pay a small (if too much) amount, and see the creators of said game playing people and maybe even himself. Man, if only he had that game! And, if only he had a *Plus* subscription to Mplayer. Then he'd be cool! I can see the fighter planes....$100.....$200....Cash! -- Frank_Rizzo [AGQ2] "Oh my God, I lost my shoes and my glasses" "At's right sizzle chest. They call me rubba neck!!"
