Help with Unreal 2 and Cheat Codes

Chat codes on the sites state that I can enter "BeMyMonkey()" which
will enable chat codes.  However, when I enter this, the game says it
is an invalid command. I set the Chats Enables  setting in the
user.ini to true.  

Is there anything else I need to do to activate the cheats?  I want to
turn on god mode to get around a big obstacle.

IIRC the '()' after a lot of the codes renders the command invalid.
Try the code without the '()' ... it might help but it's been a long time since I last 
played U2.

HTH otherwise tell us (or is it just me reading this ng? :)

If I remember you have to alter the shortcut to the game with the bemymonkey 
thing. Using it ingame may not work.

I just (re-)found out how to enable cheats:

In your user.ini ([path]/unreal2/system/user.ini) find the "[Engine.PlayerController]" 
part and be sure there is a "bCheatsEnabled=true" line in that part.
Save the user.ini, start the game, hit ~ (upper left key) and type "bemymonkey" (see no 
"()" :)
Now all the cheats should work.
