Just reinstalled unreal after years of not using it and i'm lovin it all
over again.
Just wondering though, Is there a screensaver thats the same as the game
start? The flight around the castle I mean?
I'm sure that there was one at one time but I can't find the damn thing
anywhere online.
Any help would be cool, cheers.

Trip..

Its just amazing....the greatest game ever made!

I have put it on all sorts of machines and today I loaded it into a p2 333
celeron with a 16mb voodoo 3 2000 and it runs beautifully and looks
stunning.

Its funny how it never seems to look dated like other games do.

An epic a true classic!

And it runs on xp without a glitch!

Doesn't look dated? Are you playing the same game?

I just installed it for the first time (it's been in a box with a lot of
other untouched software getting dusty since......???) and it's insanely
simple.

I just finished playing halo (pc) for the.....umm.....millionth time (?)
and wanted something new to do. So I actually dug through my box and
ta-da! A game I've never played.

But it's so insane it's not even funny! Is there a way to slow the guy
down? He runs so fast it's all a (pixelated) blur. Besides holding the
walk key, is there anything else? Some .ini fix or something?

Also......do I eventually get grenades? Cause.....well....I like my
grenades.....

It's a good game for when it was made, though. Granted, all the dead
bodies looks like those of elves (why is everyone so small?) and so far
it's nothing but up/down/up/down/up/down...please tell me these lifts
are only in the first few levels?

The levels (included lifts :) get very complicated and way bigger than most fps games out
now.
Somehow it seems that the _most_ important thing these days is to have the most detailed
textures/best ATi support/best Nvidia support - and then go on bragging about it?

I've read something about the 'too fast bug', but can't quite remember how to solve it.

I still think it's a great game with great scares and great 'wows' ...
But then again I played it when it came out - might have something to do with it?

HEY! There is life in this newsgroup! I was just about to remove it.

No, I can definitely see where games like Halo get their roots, but
wow......this is just Tomb Raider (which I love (TR1 that is)) on
steroids. Buttons, switches.....the only thing missing is I have no
idea what this guys' butt looks like. ;)

I'm already on a level in a garden with a pool and you gotta get this
wooden lift so you can throw a switch. I'm getting through it pretty
fast, but yeah, I'm enjoying the nuances of the game.

Halo was a lot more challenging, but this is alright.
