I've got a "pitiful" P133/32MB EDO NT 4.0 Server at my house for LAN gaming. It works fine when clients connect to it and one of them hosts the game. I know that Unreal will work on NT but wondered if there is an advantage to using my server as a dedicated server instead of having one of the clients host the game. Would there be any performance benefit or would it be better to wait for NT 5.0 and/or DirectX 6 (which I think will support NT?)? I don't think Unreal would run on my server in it's current hardware config, but I was considering upgrading my PC and giving it my hand-me-down K6/233 and 64MB SDRAM. I'd really like to get some info on hosting Unreal games over the 'net once the bugs get worked out in MultiPlayer. I'm on a cable modem and am willing to host games now and then. Any info/suggestions greatly appreciated! ===[==Rob====- I'd leave an E-Mail address but I hate spam.
