Im trying to use the 3Dfx reference drivers with my monster 3d and I get and
error : VXD EXPECTED 1.4 GOT 1.2

is there any hope left ????

You have an extra copy of fxmemmap.vxd somewhere. Find and nuke all
copies, then reinstall your V2 drivers.
