Get your DOM-Sesmar, make a copy of it, and call the copy DM-Sesmar. Put them both back in UTdemo\maps or whatever. Voila "extra" dm level. Matt

Do the same with the CTF map. Works as well. Just working on ways to get
other things to work :-)

I've just copied those two files to make extra levels...
Now, on to the question.
Unreal and Unreal Tournament use the same engine, right? Just optimised for
UT.
On the Unreal Mission Pak: Return to Na Pali, it says "All new Unreal
Missions for Unreal AND Unreal Tournament"
Does this mean that in the full release at least, we will be able to use
levels made for the original Unreal? More to the point, can we use them in
the demo?

Epic seem to have disabled using any maps other than the ones that came with the demo in the first place. I think with respect to using Unreal levels in UT, if they don't re-use the Unreal textures (although, saying that, there are some .utx files in the Textures directory of UTDemo that have the same name as Unreal ones) you will have to port the levels across. This will mean making all the textures in your map one texture, putting that one into it's own .utx file, copying this file, and the map across to UT, and then re-texturing it there. Sandurz: "Light speed too slow?" Dark Helmet: "Yes we're gonna have to go right to ... ludicrous speed." Crew: "Huh?! Huh?!" Sandurz: "Ludicrous speed? Sir we've never gone that fast before. I don't know if the ship can take it." Dark Helmet: "What's the matter Colonel Sandurz? Chicken?"

But... how are we going to be able to use them? Maps for the original Unreal will use textures from the original Unreal which won't be in the new one. Or are they going to include all the original textures purely for this purpose? Also, why don't people design some extra levels for the demo? I would have thought if someone did one, they just dump it in the maps directory like those copied maps. -- Seeya RichieH Simpson's Petition, somewhat redundant with the new episodes on Louise's Bits, 280 pics Both at www.harding46.freeserve.co.uk

You can copy and rename it locally and this works. I've found the CTF map to suck on DM play, the bots don't go anywhere, they just tend to stand still. -- Seeya RichieH Simpson's Petition, somewhat redundant with the new episodes on Louise's Bits, 280 pics Both at www.harding46.freeserve.co.uk
