mouselook only working vertically (Linux/Debian Squeeze)

Hey everyone!

I am experiencing the same issue with an UT99 and a UT2004 installation
on Linux (Debian Squeeze).

I have used the loki 436 installer for UT99 (works fine on my Debian
Lenny) and the linux installer script shipped on the DVD for UT2004 -
both end up in perfectly working games... EXCEPT: mouselook is not
working in the horizontal direction. I can bind "turn left" and "turn
right" to keys and it'll work - but for some reason the mouse won't
allow me to turn, only look up and down.

In the menus, the mouse works in all directions.

Has anyone experienced this behaviour before (I had the same with UT2004
on my Debian Lenny) and knows a fix?

Thanks in advance,

   Lars

Turns out the User.ini file was preconfigured badly in both cases, the
MouseX "key" was assigned to a bad setting. To sort this, I had to:

for UT99
-----------
  in ~/.loki/ut/System/User.ini

configure MouseX as follows:
MouseX=Axis aMouseX Speed=6.0

(before line:
MouseY=Axis aMouseY Speed=6.0
)

for UT2004
-----------
  in ~/.ut2004/System/User.ini

configure MouseX as follows:
MouseX=Count bXAxis | Axis aMouseX Speed=2.0

(before line:
MouseY=Count bYAxis | Axis aMouseY Speed=2.0
)

Tadaa - it works :)

Best Regards,

    Lars
